NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING SALE OF REAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Corydon, Iowa, at the meeting of the City Council of Corydon, Iowa, held on April 23rd, 2025, passed a Resolution regarding the proposed sale of the City’s interest in and to the following described real property, to-wit:
The North Ninety feet of the West One Hundred Six and Two-thirds feet of Block Two in the Original Town of Corydon, Wayne County, Iowa and a tract of land described as follows: Commencing Ninety feet South of the Northwest corner of Block Two in the Original Town of Corydon, Wayne County, Iowa, thence running East One Hundred Six and Two-thirds feet to the East line of the West One-third of said Block; thence South Eighty-three feet to the alley; thence West One Hundred Six and Two-thirds feet to Street; thence North to beginning.
Locally known as 313 N. Johnson Street, Corydon, Iowa
That the City Council of Corydon, Iowa, did set a public hearing regarding the sale of the City’s interest in the above-described real property for 5:30 P.M. on the 14th day of May, 2025, at the City Hall in Corydon, Iowa. Any person who wishes to provide comments or object to the proposal to sell said real property must appear at the date and time of said hearing. All parties interested in purchasing said real property shall submit a written offer to the City of Corydon at the Corydon City Hall by 4:00 P.M. on May 13, 2025. All bidders who have submitted written bids for said real property will have the opportunity to raise their bids at the date and time of the public hearing. The successful bidder will be required to enter into an Offer to Buy Real Estate and Acceptance with the City of Corydon, Iowa, which shall require that the existing structures be demolished, and the lot leveled to grade within six (6) months from the date of said sale. The City of Corydon, Iowa, reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
