Fireworks Ordinance

The Corydon City Council recently amended the city code regarding fireworks in order to comply with the State of Iowa Code. The amended city code prohibits setting off fireworks within the city limits of Corydon with the exception of the following dates:

July 3rd, between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm; July 4th, between 9:00 am and 11:00 pm; and December 31st, between 9:00 am and 12:30 am on January 1st.

The amended ordinance goes into effect on July 3, 2026.
