1. Discussed current status of waste water improvements.
2. Discussed financing options for fire department equipment and asked City clerk to prepare a resolution for the next council meeting.
3. Discussed proposed duties to be assigned to a code enforcement officer.
4. Discussed the option of GO bonding for sewer & streets.

September 6, 2018

Mayor Parham called to order the hearing to advise the public of the City’s intent to seek financing for Fire Department equipment. The clerk reported that City Hall has received no oral or written comments. Moorman made the motion close the public hearing. Rupe seconded. Ayes-Jaeckel, Moorman, Holmes, Bennett and Rupe. Nays-none.

The regular meeting of the Corydon City Council was called to order at 7:02 by Mayor Rodney Parham. Present were Council Members Jaeckel, Moorman, Holmes, Bennett and Rupe. Others in attendance were Nancy Buss, Loren Losh, Bill Menner, Fire Chief Bryan Wallace, newspaper representatives and the City clerk.

Holmes made the motion to approve Resolution 2018-37, a resolution for financing a portion of the fire department equipment through the City’s L.O.S.T. fund. Moorman seconded. Ayes-Jaeckel, Moorman, Holmes, Bennett and Rupe. Nays-none. Funds will be repaid to the L.O.S.T. fund with three annual payments from Fire Department Funds.

Hall Engineering provided the Council with preliminary numbers for the SAGR system to compare with numbers provided by BIO2 Solutions for their system. Lon Losh and Bill Menner from BIO2 Solutions were present to answer council’s questions and provided additional information.

Holmes made the motion to approve the 2017/2018 Audit Report from Faller, Kincheloe & Co. Rupe seconded. Ayes-Jaeckel, Moorman, Holmes, Bennett and Rupe. Nays-none.

Bennett made the motion to approve the liquor license renewals for Bowling Green Lanes and Hy-Vee Food Store. Moorman seconded. Ayes-Jaeckel, Moorman, Holmes, Bennett and Rupe. Nays-none.

Moorman asked if quotes have been received from Norris Asphalt and Manatt’s yet. They have not.

Bennett inquired about a completion date for the south wall of the library building. Redyn’s Masonry completed the job this week.

Holmes reported that the County no longer has a boom mower, but that they would be willing to work with the City for any mowing that needs done.

Moorman made the motion to approve the minutes and the treasurer’s report. Jaeckel seconded. Ayes-Jaeckel, Moorman, Holmes, Bennett and Rupe. Nays-none.

Jaeckel made the motion to allow the unpaid and prepaid bills. Bennett seconded. Ayes-Jaeckel, Moorman, Holmes, Bennett and Rupe. Nays-none.

The next regular meeting will be Wednesday, September 19th at 7:00 p.m.

A half hour work session was held after the Council Meeting to discuss the two systems presented by Buss.
