JULY 25, 2018

The regular meeting of the Corydon City Council was called to order by Mayor Rodney Parham. Present were Council Members Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Council Members Jaeckel and Bennett were absent. Others in attendance were Bill and Nancy Buss from Hall Engineering and the City clerk.

Holmes made the motion to send a letter to Loren Losh stating that the City of Corydon wishes to discontinue working with BIO2 for the waste water system. Moorman seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none.

Rupe made the motion to allow an easement for a storm sewer for East Penn Manufacturing. Holmes seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none.
Hall Engineering will prepare the easement agreement.

Holmes made the motion to approve the Amendment to the Agreement for Professional Engineering Services-Water Distribution Piping Extension and Water Meter Building. Rupe seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none. Amendment is for the amount of $750.

The sealed bid for the property at 205 E. Moore Street was opened. Karen Tucker bid $4,750 for the lot. Minimum bid had been set at $4,700.

Moorman made the motion to approve Resolution 2018-28, a resolution accepting Tucker’s bid of $4,750 for the property at 205 E. Moore Street, and for the sale and transfer of said property. Rupe seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none.

Moorman made the motion to approve Resolution 2018-29, a resolution approving the five year contract with Midwest Sanitation & Recycling for removal of garbage and recycling. Rupe seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none.

Holmes made the motion to approve Resolution 2018-27, a resolution approving the agreement with Faller Kincheloe for the 2017/2018 audit. Rupe seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none.

Rupe made the motion to approve Resolution 2018-30, a resolution setting a fee of $200 for building permits within the City of Corydon. Fee shall be paid at the time a completed Application to Build is submitted to the City. Holmes seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none.

Moorman made the motion to approve Resolution 2018-31, a resolution approving a five year 28E agreement with Wayne County for law enforcement services. Holmes seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none.

Holmes made the motion to approve the June financial report from LeCompte Memorial Library as presented. Moorman seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none.

Moorman reported that the white paint for the school crosswalks was delivered to the City shop.

Rupe advised the Council of a report of a dog being turned loose in the cemetery every night.

The City crew will be advised to take care of weeds on E. State Street, and of cutting a curb for a resident.

Rupe made the motion to approve the minutes and treasurer’s report. Moorman seconded. Ayes-Moorman, Holmes and Rupe. Nays-none.

The clerk presented to the Council an example of a 28E for a code enforcement officer. The agreement will be discussed at a future work session.

The next regular meeting will be Monday, August 6th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
