CITY OF CORYDON
WORK SESSION
APRIL 10, 2019

Mayor Moorman called the work session to order at 7:00 p.m. Present were Council Members Jaeckel, Bennett, Holmes and Rodgers. Council Member Rupe was absent. Others in attendance were Guest Council member Dawn Christian, Mike Thomas, the deputy clerk and the City clerk.

The clerk advised the Council that the Notice of Public Hearing to advise the public of the highest bid for the building at 110. S. Franklin was not submitted to the paper before the deadline on Friday morning, so the public hearing will need to be moved to May 6th at 7:00 p.m. The City’s legal counsel will have a resolution prepared for the April 17th meeting to allow the move.

Options for the Guest Council Member for the month of May were discussed. This will be on the agenda for the April 17th meeting.

The Council discussed the proposed donation to the City for a comprehensive plan for streets and infrastructure. This will be on the agenda for the April 17th meeting

The clerk went over the expenditures included in the 2018/2019 budget amendment. This will be on the agenda for the April 17th meeting. Resolution 2019-21 will approve the approved amendment and set a public hearing for Wednesday, May 22nd.

Moorman told the Council that he talked to Rodney Parham and asked if he would reconsider helping the City with water and sewer as needed. Parham told the Mayor that he would like to hear from the Council Members before he would make that decision. The Council Members expressed their interest in a short term contract and stated that they would talk to Parham after Trower tests next week.
