3.27.19 Special Session Council Meeting Minutes

The special session of the Corydon City council was called to order by Mayor Moorman. Present were Council Members Jaeckel, Bennett, Holmes, Rupe and Rodgers. Others in attendance were Dawn Christian, Rhonda Bennett, employees Trower and Davis, the City clerk and newspaper representative.

Mayor Moorman advised the Council and the forum that on Tuesday, March 26th, Rodney Parham withdrew his proposed contract as water and wastewater operator for the City of Corydon. Ads have been placed in the Times Republican and on the Iowa Rural Water Association website in search of a certified operator. Both Bennett and Holmes stated that they have been given a couple of names of operators that might be interested in the temporary position, and will be in contact with them.

Trower reported that he has signed up to take Water classes on April 3rd & 4th and 9th and 10th, and hopes to test for Water Operator II shortly after that.

The next regular meeting will be Thursday, April 4th at 7:00 p.m.
